Malaysia — A special edition of the Mitsubishi Triton, inspired by the brand’s victory at an Asian racing event in 2025, will be produced in a limited run of 2,700 units.
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors has introduced the Triton Championship Edition for the Malaysian market. The model celebrates the company’s championship win at the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) in 2025.
The Triton Championship Edition will be offered in two variants, based on the Triton Athlete and Triton Premium versions.

The Championship Edition based on the Triton Athlete is limited to 150 units, featuring a Jet Black Mica exterior with distinctive body graphics. The pickup is equipped with all-terrain tires, enhancing both its rugged appearance and off-road capability.
In addition, this special Triton Athlete variant comes with a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen (up from the standard 7-inch unit), a 360-degree camera system, and front headrests embroidered with the AXCR champion logo. Power comes from a 2.4-liter diesel engine producing 201 horsepower and 470 Nm of peak torque.
Meanwhile, the Championship Edition based on the Triton Premium will be produced in a limited run of 120 units. It features a White Diamond exterior, 18-inch black sport wheels, decorative trim, a front bumper garnish, and AXCR-themed decals. The cabin also carries the AXCR logo on the headrests. This version is powered by a 2.4-liter diesel engine delivering 182 horsepower and 430 Nm of peak torque.
According to the plan, the Triton Championship Edition will go on sale starting March 13. The special edition based on the Triton Premium is priced at $39,500, while the Triton Athlete version costs $43,000.
In addition, customers who purchase the special edition will receive an exclusive key cover and a set of sporty decals.
